A beautiful new DK yarn, with softness and strength. It’s a combination of 70% alpaca fleece and 30% Masham sheep fleece. The alpaca fleece in the white shade comes from our Betty, and local alpacas Evander and Bernie from Lanarkshire. The alpaca fleece in the grey shade yarn comes from Charity from Fife, Odette from Lanarkshire and Heatherbell Alpacas from Northumberland.
I have knitted a Celtic Myths Shawl as a test knit for the grey so you can see the stitch definition and cables.
This is a classic DK weight and perfect for this new cardigan, called Eriskay by Stella Ackroyd. We will send you a free copy of the pattern (and a project bag) with any purchases of 4 or more skeins of this yarn.
This unique yarn comes in two shades – natural soft white which blends white alpaca and white Masham, and grey which combines white alpaca and grey Masham fleece.
Approximately 220m per 100g. We used 4mm needles for our test knit.
Hand wash carefully at a low temperature
