A first blend with cosy, bouncy Cheviot sheep fleece. This worsted/light Aran weight yarn is full of character with a deep grey colour with gentle flecks of white. The alpaca fleece comes from white alpacas called Sasha and Elvira from Lanarkshire, Scotland and Sam, a handsome black alpaca from near Aberdeen. It is very soft to touch with a slight halo.
There are approximately 200m in a 100g skein and we achieved 22 stitches and 26 stitches on 4mm needles on the swatch square in the photograph. The gauge for the hap was 15 stitches and 28 rows achieved on 6mm needles.
