Our first show and a big thank you!
Thank you to all the lovely knitting and crochet folk who gave us such a warm welcome at Edinburgh Yarn Festival. This was our first show and so we spent the weeks before busy winding, labelling, organising flyers, printing patterns, planning the display, and finishing samples (with a little bit of panic along the way). So much build up, it’s a bit like throwing a party then really hoping people turn up and have a good time! I am grateful to my friend (and knitting guru) Moira for coming along to help on the day. The reception could not have been warmer and we were over the moon to see so many people stop by, have a squish of the yarns, and as a bonus see lots of our yarns go off to new homes!
We launched our Alder alpaca and Cheviot blend yarn and our beautiful Iona hap kit at the show and they are now both in the shop Iona Hap kit
I suspect we will still have a fair bit of panic, and the winding and labelling will still take hours, but now looking forward to bringing our yarns to more shows in the future. For the diary, we will be a vendor at Perth Festival of Yarn on 8-9 September this year. Hope to see you there!
